Yes.
In other news, I BOUGHT A SUPER CUB! A trail 55 to be exact.

No, I’m almost sure an E39 can’t super cub
oh...bike...sure.

I’m pretty sure the E39 can’t super cub tire for that one!

As the person who completed the disassembly I can assure you that is not the case.

Not even a later swivel handlebar unit....

To be fair *EVERY* Honda trail is sold as ran when parked anymore.
The Chinese have copied basically every SC part, so you really only need a chassis and title and can replace everything else (or stuff in a monster 140cc Lifan motor for a crazy scooter).

This was $50.

Awesome!
I have an 84 Trail 110. Know the newer units better, but I learned on these old style trails. I would so have fun redoing a $50 trail!
I want a second trail, but they are getting too expensive...
If you run into any issues with electrical, give me a holler.

Nice heap, it should be a lot of fun

That’s why I jumped on it! Saw a craigslist ad last night that read “cute old scooter - $50” and had a pretty bad front on picture of an old Honda trail. Finally got in touch with the guy today and basically told him I’d come get it right away for the ask price.
Looks to be fairly complete and it’s got a box of parts to go along with it. Definitely spent a decade or so in a barn, but motor isn’t seized, chrome is in decent shape, and tank didn’t look too rusted out. I’m excited to add it to my stable right next to my Aero 50 and Express 50.

I’m excited, I’ve been eyeing these for about a year now but prices are a little crazy all things considered. Picked this little guy up off craigslist for about the price of a nice dinner, thanks IFTTT!

Sweet, my Dad restores CT90s -he’s done three now and his latest is a C100..
I keep trying to get him to cafe one..

That would be sweet, I mean the high exhaust already lends itself well to that style.

Oh wow, that’s great looking. It could totally troll all the hipsters with scramblers out here :)

I'd bet the advancer is rusted solid though. Still, these things aren't rocket science as you know. Great find!

Trail bikes unite! I’ve got a 72 CT70H project right now. I’m pretty impressed you managed to fit that back there, any other pictures of the bike? Plans for it?

Oh I’m sure there will be some cursing and pb blaster once I start tearing in to it this weekend

No real plans right now, bought it basically sight unseen due to an insane low price. Need to go in and see what needs to be done before getting ahead of myself.

Hopefully not too much, but at least if there is a lot parts are incredibly available and ridiculously cheap!

Perfect, that was one of the things worrying me. My NB50 has been a nightmare to source parts for.

I’m not sure about cub-specific parts since mine’s not one, but the cub engine and its variants have been put in just about everything, it’s basically the SBC of the scooter world. There are a ton of different versions still in production too, so if you want to go big the sky’s the limit.
